The chairman of the Labour Party has warned Peter Obi's supporters not to resort to violence.

The head (Chairman) of the Labour Party (LP) in Cross River, named Mr. Ogar Osim, has issued a warning to party members and supporters not to use violence or incite hatred while endorsing Mr. Peter Obi as the party's presidential candidate.

While discussing the best method party supporters should act in support of the party with newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, Osim delivered the suggestion.

The party needed the advice as it prepared to welcome Peter Obi to officially open the secretariat that had been given to it by one of its senatorial candidates, Mr. Daniel Asuquo, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The 2 million-person march for Obi in Cross River takes place concurrently with the opening of the new party's secretariat in Calabar.

He claimed that because of his well-known antecedents, the party's presidential candidate was not be difficult to promote or advertise.

You don't need to be rowdy because we are obedient fans of a very marketable candidate from a rapidly expanding political party in Africa.

No one should be subjected to abuse, hate speech, or even incitement against others.

"It is not at all difficult to propose our principle for election because he has perfect credentials in education, business, and leadership, and the several schools he attended are traceable and verifiable," he said.

Even in remote areas, he claimed, it was crucial that everyone was aware of the party's logo—a family, signifying the father, mother, and children.

He continued by saying that while many Nigerians were aware of Obi, not as many were aware of the LP logo. As a result, they needed to start educating the populace about their brand right now.
