Meanwhile, King Charles III was formally proclaimed as the new monarch of the United Kingdom on Saturday.
The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will take place in London on Monday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m., according to Buckingham Palace.
Beginning Wednesday, the late monarch's coffin will lie in state in Westminster Hall, allowing the public to pay their respects.
The service is expected to be led by either the Dean of Westminster or the Archbishop of Canterbury, the senior bishop of the Church of England.
